Hearing my physician say he saw something troubling on my MRI shot my stress level through the roof.
Desperate for assistance, I contacted Healthnetwork. It wasn’t long before I had appointments lined up at one of the best neurology departments in the world, Johns Hopkins Hospital. I actually tried to contact the hospital myself prior to calling Healthnetwork and was told that there was a wait list of more than two months. I could tell that Healthnetwork knew where to go and how to get me there...I was simply overwhelmed by the response and communication; I felt like I could breathe again now that I had a plan of attack.
I was put into the hands of Mark, the Healthnetwork liaison at Hopkins, who immediately started scheduling me. He was able to take away the stress of registering, and everything else peripherally that you deal with when you are at a hospital. When you are sick and worried, having a liaison by your side is priceless. Mark was fabulous and he was there when I visited Baltimore and we actually had some time to chat. He is quite a caring, talented and interesting guy.
I could not believe the thoroughness of the testing I received. I saw an outstanding Neurologist and two impressive Neuro-Ophthalmologists who spent hours with me- taking history, testing and re-testing me. I can tell you from experience; these physicians went way beyond what’s normal or expected.
I am very grateful for the quality of care I received from Healthnetwork and Johns Hopkins. I've worked with and been exposed to many non-profits over the years...As far as compassion and assistance goes, Healthnetwork is second to none.
