I was up to my elbows cleaning shrimp when I received a call from my physician about two skin biopsies he had taken recently. One of the biopsies came back as a basal cell carcinoma and the other was melanoma. My mind was reeling. I didn’t know what to do. I called a few friends and wrote down their recommendations for specialists. One office was nice enough to supply me with a list of board-approved plastic surgeons in Colorado. Looking at the list of surgeons, I realized the value of Healthnetwork Foundation. I was not equipped to make a decision about any of the doctors. I needed someone to find me the best surgeon, and with this in mind, I called Healthnetwork.
Within an hour and a half of calling the Healthnetwork office on a Monday, I had an appointment for that Wednesday with a great plastic surgeon from Mayo Clinic Florida. I traveled to Mayo, loved Dr. Sarvam TerKonda and had the first surgery.
I really appreciate everything that Healthnetwork accomplished for me so fast. This physician was wonderful and I would certainly recommend him to anyone.
