I cannot tell you how thrilled my mother-in-law was with this whole experience.
For years, my mother-in-law suffered with pain in her upper back and, for quite some time, I have asked her to let me call Healthnetwork to help her. She is 80 years old and despite the pain, very active. Finally she relented. I made the call and spoke with Whitney, my Healthnetwork Medical Coordinator.
Whitney quickly called my mother-in-law and together they decided to seek help locally at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
The physician with whom she met spent an hour-and-a-half with her reviewing her records thoroughly, asking questions and finally determining the pain was actually caused by a pinched nerve. Traditional and non-traditional treatments were discussed. She was so appreciative of the physician’s honesty about the different options and walked away feeling very pleased that she had made a good choice to seek care there.
