Sometimes you know better medical care is available and you start going to many doctors in search of relief. All this causes grief and frustration for the families. All it took was one phone call and so much was accomplished for my brother. Thank you.
I was grief stricken when I saw what my brother was going through. He had one of his episodes when I was visiting and I felt powerless to do anything. Then I remembered my Healthnetwork benefit through Vistage.

Within 36 hours of my initial call, my brother had appointments at the top ranked Mayo Clinic in Rochester, hotel reservations and a preliminary call from the neurologist he would see.
My brother’s health issues stemmed from a car accident where another car hit the driver’s side of his car at a stop light. After his recovery from a head injury, my brother was left with tinnitus and pain so bad he would black out. The tinnitus was taken to a manageable point by a local ENT, but the pain was not being managed well with prescribed medications.
When my brother concluded his appointments at Mayo he told me this was the best experience of his life. He had peace of mind that he had exceptional resources at his disposal. Unfortunately the docs at Mayo told him that a few percentages of cases of pain like the kind he had has no known cause and no known treatment to eliminate the pain. His doctor gave him hope that most of the cases eventually resolve on their own. He left Mayo that day, not with the disappointment that most people would expect, but the genuine hope that his doctor instilled in him that he would get better. He was comforted to know that everyone did everything they could to help him. He said this is something he would have to learn to live with and he has to believe that the new medications are the right thing to do. He is content with this.
