I was skiing down a mountain in Western Canada when a snowboarder crashed into me, sending us both tumbling. I knew immediately there was something wrong with my shoulder. Although it wasn’t critical or life-threatening, I wanted to get a diagnosis and begin recovery as soon as possible. Having used Healthnetwork Foundation twice in the past, I once again asked for assistance.The Healthnetwork medical coordinator and the Cleveland Clinic GOLD liaison worked together to get me an appointment with the appropriate physician. I called Healthnetwork on Thursday and heard back on Friday about my appointments scheduled for the following Tuesday and Wednesday. When I arrived at the hospital, I was greeted by the Healthnetwork GOLD liaison. She was extremely helpful with the logistics preceding my visit - transfer of medical information, directions, accommodations etc… She showed me around and made sure I got to my appointments on time.
