I dialed seven numbers. That’s all I did. From there my local Cincinnati Healthnetwork office handled everything.
My friend’s 11-year-old daughter had a chronic condition that left her in pain 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. And although their family is well-connected, they were having difficulty identifying the most appropriate specialist and getting the help they needed.
Once I contacted Teresa, the Cincinnati Healthnetwork Medical Coordinator, this family went from being lost in the healthcare system to feeling like someone was advocating on their behalf. That meant everything to them.
It’s been several months and their daughter appears to be on the mend. In fact, Healthnetwork connected them to specialists who were able to confirm this was one of the most severe cases they have ever seen. At the end of the day, I take comfort in knowing all I have to do is make one call and the people I love will wind up in the right hands.

What an exquisite relief to have an amazing person like Teresa, the Healthnetwork Medical Coordinator in Cincinnati, working so tirelessly on my behalf.
After carefully listening to my past history and symptoms, Teresa immediately got to work finding the appropriate specialist. Instantly, I had an appointment with a neurologist and a follow up MRI. Teresa called again to make sure the scheduling worked for me and then checked up afterwards to get my reaction to seeing the doctor, to the test, and to ask what else she could do for me.
I’m not sure what might medically unfold for me, but it is enormously encouraging to know that I now have Teresa on my side.

I still have a long road of therapy and treatment ahead of me. The staff at Healthnetwork Foundation has been 
instrumental in helping me through this difficult time. Knowing they are there makes this whole process a little easier.
Earlier this year, I experienced some health concerns that came as the result of a broken arm. After failed treatment plans, I decided it was time to seek a doctor who specialized in my particular needs. I called Healthnetwork and told them of my situation. Within 48 hours, I had an appointment with one of the best doctors in the country for this condition.
I primarily worked with Teresa, Cincinnati Healthnetwork Medical Coordinator and Whitney, Medical Coordinator. Both were wonderful! Not only did they make certain I had the appointment, they helped with travel arrangements and making certain that my medical records were received in a timely manner.
