All of my preconceptions about facilitated healthcare were shattered the moment I called Healthnetwork.

One bad mammogram and I fell victim to our healthcare system. For the next 18 months my life was defined by Murphy’s Law; anything that could go wrong, went wrong.  My husband and I decided it was time to travel for a second opinion at a major breast center, so we called the current YPO-WPO concierge healthcare provider.  Our experience was an absolute catastrophe; from the doctor not knowing my records were there to sending me home with someone else’s CD’s. Frustrated and anxious, we called Healthnetwork.

What a difference that one call made. I couldn’t believe the responsiveness of Healthnetwork and the hand-selected A-team at Cleveland Clinic. Frankly, after 18 months of disaster, it was a relief to know Healthnetwork quickly had everything under control.  They even contacted the world-renowned geneticist Charis Eng, M.D., Cleveland Clinic, to seek her feedback on which physicians I should see.

Everyone I saw at the Cleveland Clinic was expecting my arrival and they were familiar with my case. I met with a counselor in genetics who took an extensive family history.  At the end of our conversation, it was recommended that I not have genetic testing because my family history was considered a random pattern based on breast cancer standards. That was just one of many answers I received that day and I can’t tell you how good it feels! I also learned why I am considered to be at high risk for breast cancer and why I need to be followed on a six-month basis rather than yearly. While I’m not crazy about being at high risk for breast cancer, it has taken so much uncertainty from the equation just knowing what the problem is. Best of all, the specialized radiologists confirmed that I do not have breast cancer.

Having tried similar services, I can honestly say there is no other organization that compares to Healthnetwork.  Their business model isn’t about the bottom line; it’s about the people they help and their not-for-profit model embodies just that.
