“The opportunity to experience a full-day comprehensive executive physical at one of the best hospitals in the world was an opportunity I was certain to take. Having had this experience I can now recommend that other Vistage members call Healthnetwork to take advantage of their executive physical programs, especially as we all get older and hit the milestones in our lives. Our health is not something to overlook or take for granted.

My executive physical took place at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. The schedulers at Hopkins were most accommodating when my personal schedule changed and we had to find an alternate date. I received my paperwork well in advance of my appointment and was ready to go.

On the morning of my appointment, I was greeted by a liaison within the executive health department who was very friendly and professional. She provided me with a schedule for the day and took me to my first meeting. Everyone I met was friendly, professional and left me feeling very positive about my experience. Each one took the time to introduce themselves and tell me what they were about to do.

My physician reviewed my history and collectively discussed tests which would be appropriate based on my history. I was escorted from one test to the other and was amazed that I was not rushed nor did I have to wait at any of the departments. We were able to adjust the schedule when there were conflicts – everyone was so accommodating. At the end of the day, I met with the physician again and he discussed the preliminary results. We discussed some risk factors and set some goals to keep my health at its optimal level. He also promised to follow up with the medical reports – one in layman’s terms for me and one for my internist in medical language.

All in all, this experience was a tremendous privilege. I would certainly recommend the executive physical program to all Vistage members. This executive physical was much more comprehensive than any physical I have had previously. I can see a great benefit in taking part in this type of a complete health review on a schedule coordinated with your physician. Your health is something that can’t be taken for granted.
