“It was Tuesday, when a friend called me – his wife had a seizure and they were at the hospital. He was devastated with worry and was reaching out for help. He is an accomplished executive of a large organization, yet he was struggling with the right course of action to take regarding his wife’s health.

Within 2 hours that Tuesday evening, the liaison at Cedars-Sinai had contacted the family and scheduled an appointment for his wife to be seen by Dr. Keith Black on Friday. If surgery was necessary, Dr. Black would also be available to perform the surgery immediately, as well.

The staff at the first hospital was informed of the wife’s decision to get a second opinion and also that she had an appointment at the end of the week with Dr. Black at Cedars-Sinai. They were amazed. The staff concurred that Dr. Black was one of the best neurosurgeons in the world and added that it was virtually impossible to get an appointment with him that quickly. Imagine how reassured this family was regarding their decision to consult with Dr. Black.

Our friend and his wife’s lives changed dramatically that Tuesday, but they are extremely grateful and thankful for the opportunity to be treated by the one of the best surgeons in the world.
