Ask Dr. Locke

What is the best way to lose and keep weight off without giving up carbohydrates?

 Dr. Locke

Reuce your daily caloric intake and increase exercise. However, to maintain weight loss, modification of eating habits is essential. In addition to reducing saturated and trans fat in your diet, studies show that substituting "good" for "bad" carbohydrates will help to maintain weight loss. Good carbohydrates are whole grains, whole fruits, whole vegetables, beans, legumes and nuts. Bad carbohydrates are refined grains such as white flour, white rice and table sugar.

Richard Lipsey has taken advantage of and supported Healthnetwork Foundation for many years.  Last month, Richard and his wife, Susan, hosted a reception at their Baton Rouge home to promote Healthnetwork and to encourage qualified friends to join. Founder, Bill Rowley and Co-President, Adam Kaufman met many business leaders from Baton Rouge, and the event went so well, Healthnetwork has planned another one for late spring in Naples, Florida.

If you would like to discuss hosting an event with Healthnetwork in your community, contact Adam Kaufman at adam@healthnetworkfoundation.org.

GOLD Supporter Experience

"When I am home in Michigan I  can access great physicians because I am on the board at the Henry Ford Hospital Foundation. However, I was at my Florida residence and wanted to see a specialist about a spine issue I was having. I could not believe the quality of the healthcare professionals that Healthnetwork connected me to so quickly." [read more]
