January 2010
At Healthnetwork we are dedicated to providing you and your loved ones facilitated access into America's top hospitals. In 2009, generous donations from grateful families were used to fortify new relationships, provide research grants, and donate to our hospitals. Below you will find a brief summary of some of our philanthropic initiatives in the past year. Thank you for your support.
Healthnetwork Awards Grants for Ground-Breaking Medical Research
Healthnetwork's fundamental vision is to improve medicine for all people and one way we do that is by furthering medical research. Grants are presented annually through our Service Excellence Awards to 10 physicians who are at the top of their field and who have demonstrated an extremely high level of compassionate care to our members. Grants this year supported critical medical research in genetics, orthopedic and spine care, eye diseases and cancer for the benefit of all people.

Healthnetwork's 2009 Annual Appeal
Thank you to everyone who supported our 2009 year-end campaign. Healthnetwork's Annual Appeal strengthens our ability to connect members with top specialists at the world's finest hospitals. This year, 78 members from more than 20 states shared their appreciation for Healthnetwork's vital work and support of our mission by making a donation. We welcomed more first-time donors than ever before and we achieved our goals of raising over $100,000 and surpassing last year's total amount. As many of you know first-hand, when you or someone you love is diagnosed with an illness it's an agonizing hour-by-hour emotional marathon for everyone involved. When that happens, Healthnetwork is here for you and your loved ones to provide invaluable assistance and peace of mind. Thank you for helping us make an even greater impact on members' lives in the upcoming year.
Sincerely,
Adam Kaufman, Co-President, Healthnetwork Foundation
Chad Brenner, Campaign Chairman, Healthnetwork Foundation's 2009 Annual Appeal

"When a health emergency arises, timing and access to the best in the world is at your fingertips through Healthnetwork. For my family, the support of Healthnetwork is a small price to pay for all the benefits we have received from their great team.
For years I monitored my heart murmur. When it came time to do something about it, I knew you would be able to connect me to the best resource. Not only did you connect me to the #1 hospital for heart conditions, Cleveland Clinic, you connected me to the #1 physician for treating my condition. I couldn't have asked for more!" >>Read Pack St. Clair's Story

Healthnetwork Presidents Family Legacy Fund
Healthnetwork members often inquire about a "lifetime membership" which is something at this time we do not offer. Additionally members frequently ask how they might involve family members in Healthnetwork so that grandchildren and even future generations can enjoy the value of our services. Largely in response to those two requests, and to enhance our important goal of making a positive impact on health through philanthropy, Healthnetwork Foundation families now have the opportunity to elevate their involvement with our organization. The Presidents Family Legacy Fund is open to 20 families and those involved will play an active role in helping Healthnetwork impact future health. This important initiative will enable you to bring other family members into Healthnetwork and it will also create a lasting partnership between your family and Healthnetwork Foundation.

Finding work-life balance can be difficult and often times very stressful. Dr. Locke offers tips for reducing stress and improving your health in 2010.
