Executive Physicals
GOLD Hospital: Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA
The Executive Health program at Cedars-Sinai tailors examinations to best fit the member's personal and occupational needs, including age, gender, and ethnicity. Recognizing time constraints placed on executives, the program can be completed in one to two days.
The Comprehensive Executive Package consists of the following tests:
Comprehensive medical history and physical examination (including pelvic exam with pap for women)
- Hearing test (audiometry)
- Test to detect glaucoma (tonometry)
- Pulmonary function test measuring respiratory status (spirometry)
- Electrocardiogram (EKG)
- Laboratory tests, including complete blood count (CBC); comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) to study electrolytes, kidney and liver functions, and to measure glucose for diabetes; cholesterol screening (lipid profile); urinalysis; blood test to measure the amount of iron in the body (ferritin); blood test for serious peptic ulcer disease (H-Pylori) and prostate cancer (PSA); female hormone assessment (for women concerned with menopause); confidential blood test for the AIDS virus (HIV) and Hepatitis A, B and C; and thyroid test (TSH)
- Imaging tests, including chest X-ray, electron beam CT scan (early detection of heart disease), abdominal ultrasound, mammogram, osteoporosis, and stroke
- Examination of the lower part of the colon and rectum to detect polyps and early cancer (flexible sigmoidoscopy)
- Immunizations, including flu shot, diphtheria and tetanus (DT), polio, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), and Tuberculosis skin test (PPD)
