History

The Inventory of Skills Foundation was conceived and founded in 1991 for the Cleveland Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organizations’ by then Education Chairman William W. Rowley, president and owner of Mercury Plastics, Inc.   The concept of IOS was formed from the idea that connecting the right people – together they can accomplish so much more than any one person can.

Rowley and the Cleveland chapter were honored in 1992 with YPO's Most Innovative Event in a Chapter Education Program for the creation of the Inventory. This was followed in 1993 with awards for Most Innovative Program and First Place - North America and the North America Region-Best Chapter Education Program. Realizing his new concept's amazing potential, Rowley began offering IOS to other chapters.  IOS soon was serving all of YPO and extending its reach to the World Presidents’ Organization (WPO), Chief Executives Organization (CEO) and the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO).   Medical connections were the forte of IOS and soon became the focus of operations for the small non-profit foundation which began making an incredible impact around the world.

In 2002, HealthNet was created to serve other organizations with similar member profiles who were not members of the original “O” communities.   HealthNet would provide the same medical access to this group.   The leaders of Legatus and the Founders’ Society of Ocean Reef realized the value of HealthNet and brought HealthNet on as a member benefit; they were quickly followed by leaders of the Founders’ Society of Baptist Health South Florida.

In 2005, Rowley received the Steve D. Bullock Humanitarian Award from the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the American Red Cross for his work with IOS.  This award is given to individuals who embody the spirit of the Red Cross through their contributions to the welfare and the quality of life for greater Clevelanders.

Today, Healthnetwork Foundation is a combination of the IOS Foundation members and the previous HealthNet members. The Healthnetwork Foundation continues as a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization providing our members with access to wellness programs and top hospitals across the U.S as well as hospitals affiliations in Asia.   We have partnered with the leadership at many of the most-respected hospitals in the U.S. and because of our relationships and our innovative liaison program within these hospitals, we can provide our members access quickly

Located just outside of Cleveland, OH, the Healthnetwork office in Chagrin Falls is able to network our globally dynamic group of members through some of the best physicians in the world.  Our partner hospitals develop relationships with a powerful group of influencers and our business leaders connect with the most innovative, brightest physicians for diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
