“Today we are stimulated to support what seems like an endless list of worthy causes. In our busy and hectic life it is difficult to determine how to best spend our charitable resources in ways that make a real difference in society. Carol and I have confidence that our support of Healthnetwork has a direct impact on the important work the Foundation performs daily. For these reasons and countless others, we continue to support Healthnetwork annually.” Chad and Carol Brenner |

Healthnetwork Foundation has been working with our members and their families since 1991, providing health education and access to many of the leading hospitals in the world. We have been very fortunate to have the opportunity to assist thousands of families with their medical needs, and we consider it an honor when our members call Healthnetwork for assistance.
We are grateful for the ongoing support we receive from our members, and we continue to be dependent generous and philanthropic members for their personal support.
Healthnetwork works directly with the philanthropy departments at our partner hospitals to identify charitable needs which will improve medicine for all society. Because government spending on medical research and capital needs has not increased as a percentage of the federal budget, hospitals have become increasingly dependent on private money. We collaborate directly with the hospitals to better understand where money is most-needed and can be best-utilized.
Planned Gifts
Will or Living Trust
When you name the Healthnetwork Foundation in your Will, you will play an important part in ensuring that our vision of improving medicine for everyone is fulfilled. Healthnetwork Foundation makes donations to our partner hospitals annually, and, as a not-for-profit public charity, we rely on gifts from members who feel compelled to give back.
With a gift through your Will or Living Trust, you retain full use of your gift property during your life. Bequests and gifts through Living Trusts can be of any size and may be of cash, securities, real estate or other property.
Additionally, with your gift to Healthnetwork Foundation, you may name a specific hospital or even a specific physician to whom you would like your donation directed. Healthnet Foundation would earmark those funds to the philanthropic initiative of your choice, and make the gift on your behalf.
Individual Retirement Account (IRA)
One of the most attractive ways to make a commitment to improving medicine for all is to name the Healthnetwork Foundation as a beneficiary or contingent beneficiary of your Individual Retirement Account (IRA).
An IRA is one of the most tax-efficient assets you can leave to charity. If you leave the assets of your IRA (or a portion thereof) to your childrenorother heirs, they will have to pay income tax on the distributions, in addition to the estate taxes your executor may have already paid. But, if you leave the assets to a qualified charity such as Healthnetwork Foundation, this double taxation is avoided.
In addition to being tax-efficient, this method is quite simple, requiring only a change of beneficiary designation using the appropriate form. Ask your IRA trustee or custodian for the appropriate form to make the change.
Life Insurance
Many people own some form of life insurance because of its unique ability to meet a variety of needs for financial protection. You can name the Healthnetwork Foundation as the primary beneficiary or as a successor beneficiary of a life insurance policy. When Healthnetwork Foundation receives the proceeds, your estate will be allowed an estate tax deduction. Or, you may wish to give us a policy you no longer need and receive an immediate income tax deduction for the value of that policy.
“In Memory Of” Donations
Many of our members have chosen to donate to Healthnetwork Foundation, in honor of a loved one. Often someone with whom Healthnetwork worked, these gifts more closely connect Healthnetwork with our members and their families.
