It's not every day that someone gives the gift of life to another individual.

Healthnetwork Foundation invites members, wives, sisters, mothers & daughters to this year’s premier women’s conference at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

This year's event will feature Pamela Paulk, VP of Human Resources at Johns Hopkins Health and Hospitals. On June 22, 2009, Ms. Paulk participated in the first 16-patient, multicenter kidney transplant. “There comes a point in my life where I can’t talk about something and not do it,” she says. That is why when she bumped into a Hopkins employee on his first day back from being out of work for 10 months and learned that his absence was due to a kidney issue, she immediately offered one of hers.

During the plenary session at “A Woman’s Journey,” Ms. Paulk will share her personal story and the motivation that led her to save the lives of strangers.
